Welcome to the KDE Localization web site, the platform for KDE translators, doc writers, XML wizards, and everybody working on Internationalization [i18n], Localization [l10n], and documentation of KDE.
What you will find here are resources for practical translation and documentation work, such as:
- The current list of KDE translation teams and their coordinators, including mailing lists, web sites and a few hints about the status of the individual teams.
- Statistics of what is, and is not, already translated for both the Applications and the Documentation, in the KDE SVN repository.
- The KDE Translation Howto and its previous version where you can find out how to introduce a new language to KDE, how to translate the user interface, the documentation, and everything related to this process.
If you would like to participate in the translation of KDE software, simply contact the mailing list of the particular team you want to participate in. You can find the mailing list address by clicking in the name of the team you want to join in the list of all the active teams. If there is no team for your language, the team does not have a mailing list or you do not get an answer in some time (wait at least a week) please contact the kde-i18n-doc mailing list.
